Spirit of Squash

IN-SCHOOL SESSIONS AND AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB AT ST LUKE'S ISLINGTON

Spirit of Squash today launched its first in-school squash session and after-school club at St Luke's Primary in Islington.

Two coaches oversaw hour-long sessions with 27 year 5 pupils, 21 year 6 pupils, and 11 years 3 and 4 pupils. Introducing 59 children to squash on our first day was exhilarating and is a terrific start to an 18 month commitment at St Luke's.

In partnership with ESR and with support from the business community including the Canada-UK Chamber of Commerce, Spirit of Squash will deliver similar initiatives at other schools across the borough. These sessions all encourage kids to attend the Sobell and Finsbury Leisure Centres which provide sports facilities for their local communities.
